  3. Mitch Hurwitz: 'Arrested Development movie is getting close'

Mitch Hurwitz is adamant a proposed movie version of the sitcom is inching closer to reality. The project, which will reunite the entire team on screen, has been in the pipeline for some time but now Hurwitz is working on a script and is convinced studio bosses will be “really eager” to shoot the film. He tells Rolling Stone magazine, “I think it would be very doable to get them together for four or five weeks to make a movie… I’m working on the movie right now. I can’t get into much more detail because I don’t want to scare anybody off. “I don’t want to be presumptuous about it. I don’t own the property outright - it’s a 20th Century Fox property. But everybody seems really into it and really eager to make a movie.”

  5. Franklin Delano Bluth Is Returning To ‘Arrested Development’

During an appearance on the Empire Film Podcast, Arrested Development creator Mitch Hurwitz talked a little about the future of the show. [He discussed one] character who was conspicuously absent from the new season of Arrested Development: Gob’s puppet Franklin. “We did have a Franklin plot. It’s still yet to come. There’s two big absences in the show. One is Franklin and one is the banana stand.
